If you ever do a Robert Warren tutorial, you’ll see that he makes several of his own colors. He says it’s how he can control his pigments. He starts with a base color and then that is used in each subsequent color. So, be very careful when mixing the colors. If you make a mistake in an early color, subsequent colors will be off. I think I got pretty close, but his final version appears darker. Photo attached.

I agree with your assessment. The painting is overall pretty boring. So, I’m adding a couple young boys fishing on the bank. A broken down old doc and a man in a row boat further upstream.
