There are two statues of Blackfeet riders at each entrance to the Blackfeet Reservation in NW Montana. They are the spiritual guardians and reminders of the once powerful Blackfeet Nation. I tried to capture that. The painting is dark, but I wanted the eyes to glow so I had to compromise.

I like this painting. There is a bit of something unknown going on. If I saw this scene in real life, I would probably leave, very quietly.
