I wanted to try and do a Beirstadt style painting. So thought sun shining into a towering canyon might be worthy first try.

Ahhh - Bierstadt, one of my favorites. Really beautiful job, Bob! I love the varying colors in the cliffs and the tiny fisherman to show the scale of the scene.
