This is far from my most complex painting, although it’s one that’s very important to me. This piece is inspired by my visits to Newport Beach, at the little pier next to Seaside Bakery. Over the past year, my freshman year of college, I visited this exact beach many many times with friends. (Funny enough, only at ever night!) I have fond memories of running our fingers through the sand, singing songs, and walking along the water (sometimes not in a straight line if u catch my drift haha) but i digress… I drew inspiration from some episodes like Night Light and Blue Moon and I’m so in love with the final result. I do admit I embellished the real beauty of this scene a bit, as at night the sky is a pitch black void due to the cloud cover and light pollution from the city, but hey this is how it felt like it looked to me!
As a starving artist I never thought I’d ever say this, but this one ain’t for sale! haha.
Very nice and along the lines of Bob's "Night Light"
