I painted this for an art competition at my university. The theme was "alternate realities," so I wanted to create an image of a completely different landscape that could have been.

You know what this reminds me of? My kids used to watch a movie called the tenth kingdom. It’s a mix of classic children’s stories such as Snow White, Cinderella etc but “modern” with the add of mixing New York setting. I know I’m not doing it justice to describe it but it’s worth a view. Anyway in this movie there is a “magic mirror” that is a gateway from one “world” to the next. So you look within the mirror and see a completely different world that the characters enter through. Very creative painting. Love it!
Great colors and the contrast between the two different worlds is amazing. It is really a surpirse to see this total unexpected effect, never seen something like this before.
