Original Creation

Charcoal reproduction of "The Cradle" by Berthe Morisot

parksd02 17 Apr 2021

My church is having a Mother-Daughter banquet soon, and I was tasked with creating a door prize as part of the event. I thought of this work by 19th century French impressionist Berthe Morisot, "The Cradle," perhaps her most famous work.

Regular drawing activity will keep skills sharp, so when it comes time to paint those happy little bushes and trees, they will come off the brush a little easier. 😊

Wow! Awesome drawing! Incredible work on details. I could not imagine that charcoal can give such thin lines. Hand, eyes, face! Something new learnt from you! Thanks.
