This one was my first ever non-landscape painting, and was an absolute blast to do as a Christmas gift for my Mom, who is a big Rob Zombie fan.
Rob Zombie’s face and the non-scripted text are ink transfers onto the canvas, and everything else was done by hand in oils.
I was shocked how many Bob Ross landscape techniques were applicable here, for something soooo different than the usual subject matter.
The “violent reaction” between Liquid Clear and paint thinner was spectacular at sprucing up the background, and in especially pleased with how the hair turned out!
Here’s to heavy metal and memes!
Neat idea!
This is fantastic! I love the twist in the cliche. That’s one of my all time favorite music videos - going to have to watch it again now!

This is awesome! The hair is fantastic! I love your twist on a classic cliche! It's amazing how many of Bob's techniques translate into any painting. Layering, shading, highlight all are so useful to make a painting look really realistic.
