Painting 105. I recently bought a Bob Ross brand easel off someone on a classified ad. This is the first painting I make using this easel. It's one serious, large, sturdy easel - a huge departure from my old flimsy wooden easel I paid 30$ or so for when I first began painting. This was also the first painting where I was using both new brushes and a sturdy easel so the entire experience was much more pleasant and enjoyable. I wanted to paint a black canvas and I Googled extensively for inspiration but ended up finding a video tutorial from MazArt on Youtube and I went with trying to use that as a guide. This was a pretty relaxed painting session on a rainy day that went quite smoothly and clocked in just under 2 hours. I reminded myself how much I love painting on black canvases. If I had to pick one type of painting that really defines me it would definitely be black canvas paintings. I also got my hands on some huge canvases so I'm trying to build up the confidence to paint on those at some point.
