Painting # 94. I wanted to paint something simple and quick today, without a reference, to gauge my improv skills. This was the result. Going in, I knew I wanted yellow and purple in the sky and that I wanted the entire thing to have a soft pastel vibe. Up front, my goal then became to create something much more defined as a stark contrast with the background. This was a lot of fun and I painted it while listening to music with my garage door open and the warm July breeze coming in. Overall, it took me a bit less than 2 hours to paint this. I also created the border using painter's tape. 18x24
Awesome. Especially that mountain
The mountain is magnificent! Sky is nicely blended and color choices are so nice and calm!
