Painting # 86. I had some leftover liquid clear mix I used as the base color for my previous painting, so I decided to paint a similar painting and see how fast I could do it. Since I did this immediately after finishing my previous painting, I was able to finish this entire painting in under an hour. Once you know exactly what you're going to paint, things speed up considerably. 16x20
Love it! Great depth.
Very cool mood to this and your previous painting. Excellent lighting and liner brush work. Great job!

this is very pretty, love the misty feeling!
Fantastic forest with misty ground and moon hiding amongst clouds! Great painting!
Very good!!! I feel like something is going to walk out of that fog!
I've been back to view this painting (and the one before it, too, #85) three times now. Incredible. I showed my wife, and she liked it as well.
Thanks to all for your nice comments. I'd just like to mention that this is actually one of the simpler paintings I've made recently. I'm convinced that anyone trying their hand at one similar to this would experience great success. I really love painting on black canvases. Everything is so striking. I'm seeing lots of potential with painting similar scenes and having things reflecting in the dark water. This is really reminding me of that Harry Potter scene with Harry and the dementors and his stag patronus around the lake in the woods.
