Painting # 60. This painting was also one I created really quickly after painting my "main" one for the day. This is a result of leftover paint on my palette. I wanted to create a hazy look with warm autumn/earth colors and wanted the background trees to almost blend into the sky. This painting took me around 30 minutes. I went back afterwards and tried to fix the cattails a bit, but I still don't like them very much. I also realized that my earth is a bit crooked. I need to begin standing back from my paintings once in a while and taking a look. Close up, things can be deceptive. 12x16.

30 minutes, wow! You are really gaining a lot of control over the materials and can clearly think creatively in the medium. Nice work!

The branches are so realistic and the haze is lovely! Really enjoy the cattails too!
