Typical Bob Ross scene, this turorial of Bram, with a very limited palette of colors, on wallpaper 40 x 30 cm.
Super well done!
stunning mountains! love the whole piece.
Super Jos 🇩🇪👍🏼
Bram is a great painter.
And you did a very good job with this one. <3
Agree with Jeffth on the mountains. Love it!
Very nice. Yes it is a typical Bob scene, no doubt. You mastered it well.
Thank you Sandy, Brian, Jeff, Dirk (🖐️🇳🇱), Titia, Tomi and Tom!
I just noticed you wrote you painted this on wallpaper. How did that go? My gut reaction is that it would be difficult, but maybe I'm missing something :D
Jeff: it is thick wallpaper which can be painted (of course). I cut something wider then the right size, put it on an existing canvas with tape, put two layers of white gesso on with a roller and go! Goes very well!
This is gorgeous Jos! Love the blue palette. That hint of pink in the sky & water is fabulous! Great execution!
Thank you Nancy!
wow, so thick wallpaper - taped to canvas - double primed - does the job? No bubbling or wrinkling? I'm very curious why you have selected this method. Does it offer some conveniences or cost reduction?
Thanks!
Jeff: indeed no bubbling or wrinkling because the paper is smooth and thick and connected to the canvas. I have so many canvasses to throw away, this is much easier with paper, also to store. If it has a good result it is easy and light weight to frame. It is very cheap! It is easy to choose the size and it paints nice. I have the idea of Paul Ranson, look at his tutorials, mostly on ... right, wallpaper! See: https://youtu.be/Wbb9p3gdCHY?si=0fQ2xn6vg5Hm6IRG&t=209
