Once in a while I want to paint mountains and today I have choosen to try an episode of Justin, a left handed painter, so he did the highlights on the left, more difflcult for the right handed like me, but I enjoyed this tutorial, on canvasboard 30 x 24 cm.
Very nice Joha. The use of mist in the midground is unexpected and very effective. I love Justin. And yes following a lefthander does make it difficult. My Alpine Village painting was after a lefthander and I thought, how hard can it be? I soon found out! I just kept forgetting and I had the light coming from both directions. You did very well with it as your painting does look like a Wozniak. One thing I notice he does that nobody else seems to do is he often waits until near the end before adding final highlights all over the painting, I bet that's a neat trick he discovered while having to deal will following righthanded painters.
Thank you Brian and Helen, yeh that mist at the foot of the mountain came out very well, because it seems you can look through it, let we call it a happy accident! Thanks for your compliment Helen and indeed Justin paints hjis highlights in a strange order.
Beautiful
