When I saw the photo of MicheldeBoer.net of this green woodpecker, I wanted to try to paint this beautiful scene, on canvasboard 24 x 30 cm with liquid white as underlayer, something completely different and I still don't know if I like it!

So cute. I often enjoy watching starlings drinking from my water fountain and wish I could paint them. The idea of including the reflection is a stroke of genius. You did a great job.
