It was some time ago I did a Bill painting with his more rough style and this one was not too complicated to pick it up again. Funny how Bill tells in the video how strong the color pr. blue is, he sometimes finds it under his false teeth, under his eye glasses and even on his pillow LOL. I listened to his warning and used it very careful!
My first attempt I did two days ago and I was not happy with it: too much liquid white or too thin underpaint for the stones and trees, I struggled with the highlights on the rocks and trees and made it myself really difficult and scratched it away, but today I did a try again and used some vd. brown to get the paint for the base of the trees and stones a bit thicker, that helped to get the highlights on and I think I'm not gonna wipe it away this time. Now I know what to paint if some empy space is left: some big stones! On canvasboard 24 x 30 cm.

Beautiful work. Youβve created such depth that I feel like taking up canoeing! It really draws the eye in and the colours are wonderful.
