This is a painting from a photo with the famous mills at Kinderdijk in the Netherlands at sunrise, the mills were setup in light brown acrylics, then a layer of liq. white before starting with the oil paints, just a trial, in two hours (exclusive preparation in acryl), on canvasboard 30 x 24 cm.
Soooo pretty Jos! π₯°
Terrific!
Very nice. The subject and the colours remind me of a Charles Thornley and I have one of his works. He's worth checking out as he did several windmill paintings.
Very nice
Very atmospheric,Jos ππΌπ©πͺπ³π±
Very pretty and great blending in the sky βοΈ
Good one Jos, especially the detail on the windmills since it is a rather small canvas you used. ππΌ
I've never visited Kinderdijk...
Thank you all Bob, Nancy, Kerri, Helen (I only found Thornley paintings with boats), Cold, Dirk, Brian and Titia (I lived very close to it so I did visit it regulary)!
Very nice sky. Never been to the Netherlands, I hope to travel there some day.
Thank you Tom, well it's not so far away from Austria, I did the journey many times in opposite direction.
