Some time ago I found this painting too intimidating and had no trust in a good result of my own attempt. After seeing the impressive version of Tom, in which he brought this painting alive again and he even improved the original in my opinion, I wanted to try, so here is my version, on wallpaper 40 x 30 cm, still wondering if Bill was using Prussian -or Pthalo blue, I used the last only for the shadows and the glacier.
Incredible work!!
Nice work on this one. Seriously learning the Palette Knife I see.
Well done, Jos! Looks fabulous.
Beautiful, good job
Thank you very much Jeff (great compliment, thanks!), Elsie, Aaron (indeed most painted with the knife), Jon and Cold!
Super gemalt ,Jos . Schöne tiefe 👍🏼🇩🇪🇳🇱
Vielen Dank Dirk und Grüsse aus NL!
Wonderful work, top job!👍✌️
Thank you Brian!
Very nice.It is a tough one, but you mastered it well.
According to the books the phtalo blue is only used for the shadows in the background mountain. I guess to create more distance. However I mixed it with prussian blue and did not use it at any other part of the painting as I found it a bit disturbing to use that bright blue. But it always depends on the personal taste.
Thank you Tom, I knew you did not use the Pt. Blue very much.
Great painting, cheers
Hé Dave, thank you man!
