The Northern Lights are the fireworks for free in nature, so I celebrate the new year with a painting of these colors in the sky, also reflected in the water. The sequence of painting in watercolor differs often from oil, in this case the colors of the lights were painted first, the dark of the sky came over it. The idea and technique for this painting came from a YT live tutorial of Shelley Prior Fine Art, I tried with different colors and shapes to make it my own, on Arches watercolor paper of 29,7 x 21 cm (A4 format). Wishing you all a happy new year and lots of painting pleasure!
