Another great tutorial in two parts for painting a gorgeous sky with watercolors (part 1), this time in combination with a sailboat sketched with pencil and a fineliner and filled in with some color (part 2), on cheap watercolor paper of 29,7 x 21 cm (A4 format) and cheap watercolor paint.
Terrific painting! Love the sky and the details on the ship are great.

Awesome sky with a gorgeous boat, great scene JosβοΈ
Thank you Sandy, Pam, Dirk and Brian! I wonder if I will return to oil very soon ...
Gorgeous. I love the way the boat tilts slightly and the way the sails are billowing in the breeze. Great atmosphere although I think I'd be a bit scared on the boat with the weather coming in.
Thank you Helen, you always look so well to the picture, the people on board are probably also scared, because I don't see them, maybe they are laying on the bottom of the boat or already jumped into the water! Anyway I am glad you like it!
You're welcome. It's only fair to take a good look to appreciate the effort that the creator has put in. You always turn out a "decent" painting as Kevin Hill would say.
Excellent
Thanks Cold!
