A companion to my earlier "Pretty Nose" (In person the colors in the 2 paintings actually match each other lol). The name was traced/copied from his actual signature. Meant to look like an old photograph.
FUN FACT: While researching photos, I learned that his given name at birth was "Jumping Badger".

Perfect Pam!
Thank you Tomi
Wow!! Very impressive work Pam! Your portraits are so perfect! I am very intimidated with them. How hard is it?
Love it! Really awesome portrait!
Thank you Nancy! My first pets and people were definitely not at my current level! You should just go for it. Similar to a still life - form, light and shadow create the 3d image. For example, Sitting Bull's head is like an orange let's say LOL. I THIN my oils (or acrylics) A LOT so my technique is kind of like staining first and the painting on the final details. Try something monotone first and it might be easier to get the feel for creating 3 dimensional face. Sometimes I will take off my glasses and just look at the image I am painting just to see it as light/dark/shapes and then go back to it with glasses. I personally have a technique where I do use thinner or water to "wipe" out highlight areas instead of white paint. Oh, and you will need smaller and different brushes. I have collected many different ones and I have preferences for each type of pet /person I do. None of my brushes are any more expensive than my original Bob Ross ones.
Thanks so much Sunny!
