My husband and I were married in the park 29 years ago. As the title suggests, the bride and groom are completely immersed in each other; as if nothing or no one else exists in their world at this moment in time. Oh, that young couple has no idea what adventures life has in store for them! The painting (done in palette knives except the figures) evolved around them (like the years of a marriage), layer upon layer and full of changes, adaptations and (of course) many happy accidents.
The painting was extremely difficult to photograph accurately, and this was the best of about 30 photos! Overall it is a bit softer in person.
Beautifully created Pam!

Love the impasto style, love the story! The lighting on the tree bark is especially lovely to my eye.
