This is a quicker study after Isaac Levitan of a painting called Twilight Moon from 1899. There are many versions of this painting and I'm not sure if the one I worked from is an original or a sketch or a copy itself. I tried to move fast on this one. Faster than my previous Levitan study, because this is a simpler composition done simply by the original artist. I chose it base because I liked the lighting. My study is 16x12 inches.

That caught my eye immediately! Incredibly beautiful! What is that blue color in the sky? Looks like cerulean or cobalt blue. Those oranges stand out so wonderful against blue tones!
