A Happy Little Accident

Who_Ever 08 Jul 2024

This painting is the result of an existential crisis. I was feeling stuck in my painting and discouraged by life in general so I thought to myself, “Screw it! I’m going to paint an ugly painting!” So I just put some paint out on the canvas right out of the tube and made mud over the entire canvas.

As I looked at it and laughed, I began to see little things in the brush strokes I had made fairly randomly and just went right along with my imagination. I think I really learned the true joy of painting!

It’s true of life too. Sometimes it seems bad, sometimes it seems good, and all you can do is look at what you have and try to make something out of it.

That's Pretty ! I think that's what Art is about ......... using your imagination to trigger mine .

Turned out pretty good for something born of frustration....well done Who ever

I love how you discovered so many happy accidents in one painting and it turned out well! Pretty pink flowers will always put a smile in my heart💓

A heartwarming sentiment. I agree you have to make the best of what you have. Somebody once told me I always make the best of myself, I married him.
Your painting turned out really pretty. I like really like the shrub on the left with the little yellow flowers and the green ferns look lush.

This is nice. I really like the purple flowers

Sometimes happy accidents turn out to be beautiful things! Nice job

You definitely made a beautiful picture here, you made a awesome choice to stay with it! Bob Ross would be so happy to see how you express your feelings through your world, it’s beautiful! I painted an almost gonna through out this crap painting until I realized that Bob said there’s no mistakes in painting.. so I gave it a go and it’s kinda cool! I might post it!!
