Riverside Rapture

While I am fairly happy overall with my snow covered mountains, I feel my brown mountains are cringe worthy most times. Since I did not have a specific Bob Ross painting in my head to paint, I decided to just compose something to practice a brown mountain.

This was fun to paint and I do believe my brown mountain is less cringe worthy than normal LOL. My use of the term 'cringe worthy' is an exaggeration, but I do realize my brown (and gray) mountains need to improve. I think the shades of color used make a huge difference when painting brown or gray mountains and the shading on the mountain is maybe more important than on a snow covered mountain. I guess what I am saying is, to me, brown or gray mountains require more skill than snow covered mountains to get a realistic result.

As usual, the photo is not good. I swear, I am the world's worst photographer. 16" x 20" canvas. As always, your comments (especially suggestions) are desired and welcome.
