4/24/23 River in the Valley

Springtime means busy time outside for a couple weeks for me doing garden prep and general cleanup (My 850 garlic are looking wonderful and are about 12" tall). As a result my painting (and viewing of this page) slowed way down this month. I did manage to complete 4 paintings the last few weeks, #s 97, 98, 99, and 100. This is #99. Once I post the 4 paintings, I'll spend a couple hours looking and commenting on all the great artwork you all have posted over the last few weeks.

For this one, I followed a Justin Wozniak tutorial. I really like that guy, I hope he starts posting again soon. Justin is a lefty, so most of his painting depict lighting from the left side. The main issue I had with this one was the water. I ended up painting it about 4 times, the fist 3 with the water moving (total failure).

16" x 20" canvas. As always, your comments and suggestions (especially suggestions) are desired and welcome.
