Path in the Woods (Paul Ranson Tutorial)

I decided I wanted to paint a deep woods scene (have not attempted one yet (that I can remember anyways). I came across this Paul Ranson tutorial on YouTube University :) and it had everything I wanted to attempt.

As it turns out, I actually think my starting point was not dark enough. Paul even mentions to make sure the background is dark enough in the vid. I attached a photo of my starting point.

Had trouble getting a decent picture on this one. The painting is better than the picture looks.
