This ended up being a series of 3 related paintings. This is #3 in the series: "Happy Valley III".
My main purpose when I started this one was to practice everything I used in the first 2 paintings in the series.. This is probably my most ambitious painting to date. A 16" X 40" canvas" !!
My favorite part of this painting is the mountain range. I feel like I freaking nailed it! The outline of the mountain was created using a 3/8" angled brush. The sunny side of the mountains is all palatte knife work, and all the shady side detail is script liner work. Took about 2 hours to paint the mountains.
I also feel like my evergreens are starting to look really nice and my clouds are getting there..
16" x 40" canvas. As always, your comments (especially suggestions) are desired and welcome.
