I painted this yesterday after a book tutorial taken from „The Art of Bill Alexander and Lowell Spears, Series 1“.
After my absence from painting I wanted to do a building and practice some mountains. So this seemed to be the perfect episode. I don’t think this episode has been yet posted on the Alexander Art YouTube Channel.
It is a bit more complex than the other paintings I did last week, but it worked.
I like those scenes and I like the color scheme Bill suggest, especially a touch of phtalo green is very nice here😀 This breaks a rule by Bob, who says never use green in winter scenes.
This is oils on canvas panel, 16 x 20 inches (40 x 50 cm)

Very nice, maybe I like the most the clouds behind those impressive mountains and trees and also the pt.green came out very well in the shadows
