My second still life ever done. This is again taken out of the book ‚The Art of Bill Alexander and Lowell Spears, Series 1‘.
I have to say I prefer landscape painting a lot more. However I want to try something different too. The episode also exists on Bill‘s YouTube channel. But it has a different title there which I can‘t remember yet.
As expected the most complex part of this were the eyeglasses. I tried my best, but Bill made it better by miles. Also the water glass wasn’t very easy for me.
However, even this is for sure not my best painting, I am happy that I tried it. it was a good experience and I learned something new.
it is oils on black canvas panel 16 x 20 inches (40 x 60 cm)

This is an excellent recreation of Bill’s painting Tom! I have been thinking about doing this one for months and am more encouraged to give it a go after viewing yours. The glasses (eye and drinking) are so intimidating to me, the eye glasses that you produced are just beautiful!👍✌️
