My Friday painting. I love painting fog. To me it is one of the most exciting things to paint. It creates such a cool mood.
Here I followed an other episode by Bill. He showed how to create layers after layers to create distance with fog. Very easy painting which took me exactly 65 minutes including brush washing. I made evergreens all the way through the scene whereas Bill put in some leave trees here and there.
Oils on canvas panel 16 x 20 in (40 x 50 cm)
Very nice (again)!
Hey Tom, great as always. I think you have staged the fog great and set a nice depth and distance.ππΌπ©πͺπ¦πΉ
Many thanks Brian! Yes the roof is originally painted by Bill. I also thought it is a super idea and made it tooπ
Many thanks Jos! π
Thanks a lot Dirk. I am pleased with the fog too. I am working quite fast now and it still looks right. That makes me happy.
Just gorgeous! Love the foggy look!
Many thanks Sandy!
Great job. That is some very dense fog!
Thank you Tomi!
This is beautiful Tom! The fog makes a painting so much more interesting. It's indeed an awesome and fun element to paint. This is very peaceful to look at.
Thank you very much Nancy. I agree with you, fog makes the painting so peaceful and interesting π I am really glad you like it π
Great job with the fog! It looks like you were loose with your strokes for sure!
Thank you Pam. You have a good eye. I am currently working on getting more loose with oils.

Awesome Tom! I love these foggy paintings and have had this one on my list for a while. Was the roof in Billβs painting? I donβt remember or did you add it? In any case it is a great element!
