This is taken out of the book ‚The Magic of Oil Painting III‘ by Bill Alexander.
It is called red sky but mine turned out very purple 😄.
However it is a very nice episode to paint. Not very difficult but an eye catcher. Of course nothing for purists who want to have natural colors.
Myself I turn more and more to odd color schemes which I find much better. But this is my taste.

The purple clouds work very well even if it wasn't the expected outcome. Beautiful Tom! Very soothing!
Thank you Nancy, it does not really disturb me that the sky is a bit purple here. It just sounds maybe strange that the episode is called red sky, but overall I am happy with it :)
