This picture has been painted after an instruction manual from the book βThe magic of Oil Painting IIβ. it contains one of my personal favorite scenes Bill did, i.e. an old deserted farm in front of some trees. Here an other variation by reflecting the buildings into rain puddles. Also very nice and easy to do.
In earlier times I thought the buildings have to be very perfect and I often overworked them. But actually those buildings which look somehow not so perfect (though the basic perspective has to be right) are more popular. So I am now on a point where I make my buildings more loose and I am much more happy with them.
I think I will try several other paintings with buildings in the near future as well.
This is oils on canvas panel 16 x 24 inches (40 x 60 cm).
Thank you Nivek!
Oh this is nice. I love that ground cover and those tall skinny trees.
When I saw the trees in the background, I thought it was a photo. What a GREAT painting

Thanks a lot Lc and Nancy.
Incredible work, better than Billβs or appears as if Bill had spent 2 or 3 hours on it imo. Fantastic shadows, reflections and light!ππ―βοΈ
