As I saw this episode on the Alexander Art page I really was attracted by it and wanted to paint it. So I bought the PDF (it is a copy of the book sides) from the Alexander Art internet page as I did not discover the episode anywhere on YouTube.
That was on Wednesday last week and during the weekend I did it.
Maybe it are the, for Bill unusual, colors he used here (Indian Yellow, Orange and Phtalo Blue - I know Bill uses those colors in other episodes as well but very rarely) which caught my attention. Or maybe it was the hidden buildings. I don't know. But as soon as I discovered it I needed to paint it. That happens some time, right?
It is not an extremely complex scene but there are also easier tutorials by Bill. Overall I think the result is not too bad. And I think that one might go anywhere on a wall in my house.
This is oils on canvas panel 20 x 28 inches (50 x 70 cm).
✅ As the original photo seems to be very dark, I added a lighter one.
