Big Mountain - Bill Alexander (Experiment painted in 47 minutes)
I have planned to do a painting on a specific time frame since some time. This episode by Bill seemed to be fiting my goal to do a painting under 1 hour. This is because I even want to paint in times where I am very busy with my job.
So I watched the episode twice before I painted it and made notes about colors and steps.
Then before I applied the magic white I started my stopwatch and I stopped it after I cleaned the last brush. It showed 46:37 minutes.
Advantage to paint this scene is for sure that you only need the big brush, a knife and a liner brush (the liner is only needed for the signature, LOL) and there is only a limited palette. And Bill talks around 10 minutes within the episode;)
Of course this is no masterpiece I think the result is not too bad considering I am normally a quite slow painter. What do others think?

A magnificent mountain! I can not believe it was just 47 minutes, but sometimes I produce terrific paintings when I go "quickly". I love all of your colors.

Having just painted this one myself I had to come look at your version (which I normally do before I start) and I was not disappointed! You could probably teach Bill’s method and style as well as he did! Yeah this is a quick one that took me right at 45 minutes too. Fantastic work!
