From the book βThe Art of Bill Alexander and Lowell Spears, Series 4β.
This scene caught my attention, because of the colors used here. Bill uses a mixture of Yellow Ochre and Permanent red for the Base color of the sky and its reflections in the water and then he uses Van Dyke Brown to create the clouds. This is quite unusual but very nice.
Overall a simple scene to practice trees and the reflections in the water. But very nice and fast to do.
This is oils on Canvas Panel 16 x 24 inches (40 x 60 cm).
Beautiful and a very special sky indeed!
Definitely unusual colors for Bill to use in one of his skies and a nice scene as well. Beautiful trees Tom!πβοΈ
