My latest Bill Alexander recreation. This is taken out of the book 'The magic of oil Painting V'. I have not seen a TV tutorial available. However I mainly paint after books.
I liked the idea of a sunset in orange colors and the light hitting the tops of the trees in the front here and there. Always a challenge is to avoid the sky turn green when you use yellow and blue. I think with that big clouds it worked out very fine.
The mountain itself only has a few light at the tops, this is also some new experience to me.
I still paint in the garage at around 0 degrees and my hands start freeze after a few time. Thus the knife work is getting very hard :)
Hopefully spring comes soon and the temperature rises again ;)
This is oils on canvas panel 16 x 24 in (40 x 60 cm)
I dont know that painting .the Mountains are really unique and it looks Great πππΌ
I love your firery sky! π Gorgeous mountains. I like the different layering of the footy hills/foreground!
Thank you Sherina.
Many thanks Dirk. I think this episode is not available on YouTube yet. I have a collection of books by Bill and Bob which I collected during the past years. In bills books there are a lot of paintings which arenβt available on YouTube.
Thank you Nancy. I wanted to paint something colorful today π
