After a long absence in painting I finally can present a new oil picture. It was done after an instructional lesson from the book βThe Art of Bill Alexander and Lowell Pears, Series 1β.
The instruction itself is from Bill.
So I did my last painting back in March and I felt extremely rusty. I chose this one because I felt it is rather an easy episode. But I struggled a bit at the beginning. Later on I felt better and I am happy with the result.
This is oils on canvas panel, 16 x 20 inches.
Wow, its on fire! looks fab.
Super work as always, Tom ππΌπ©πͺ
Very nice Tom, glad your back (for a while?).
Looks great, Tom. Welcome back!
Gorgeous. I love it. Happy to see something from you. I especially love your BA paintings.
love the colors on this!
Amazing use of complimentary colors!
Incredible!!
WOW!! This is stunning!! Amazing work!
Thanks for your comments everyone! There where only 5 colors used. Titanium white, cad yellow, cad red light, alizarin crimson and Prussian blue.
The cad red light makes a super orangy red color.
@jos: I hope to be back for longer, I miss painting a lot!
Wow! Very effective and ... I was going to say appealing but it is more than that. It is exciting and alive. Nice to pick up the brushes again?
Thank you Colin, definitely feel good to paint again and I hope to be able to paint on a regular basis in the future.
