"Wooded Stream"
June 11, 2023
Oil on canvas
50x40 cm
This one is based on a tutorial by Kevin Hill.
I couldn't find a title for the painting so I've gave it my own title "Wooded Stream", kinda after the Bob Ross painting "Tranquil Wooded Stream". But this one is way less tranquil with the water bubbling down over the rocks.
Palette knife only, which was quite the challenge because it is easy to end up mixing lots of mud.
I do not have Kevin's flair with this, but I'm pretty satisfied with it.
@Felix: That is also what attracted me to this painting.
The light and slightly purplish background combined with the yellows and subtle greens in the foreground.
The photogrpah shows up rather dark her on my screen, with the lower right corner almost black, which it isn't. I'll see if I can upload a lighter version.
Gorgeous Titia! That lit up purple bg is beautiful.
That is gorgeous. I am amazed that you did this only with a knife!
Gorgeous, and it looks so real. It is perfect.
WOW Titia! Super!
Awesome! You have made friends with the palette knife (as Bob says). Beautiful light and shadows.
Thank you everyone for the nice comments! <3
