"Sunlit Forest"
May 1, 2024
Oil on canvas
50x80cm
This one is based on a photograph I took more than a year ago, one one of the few days we had snow. It is taken in the woods not far from my home.
I loved the blue shadows and the few leftover brownish leafs. They provide a nice contrast in what would otherwise have been a more or less black and white picture.
The painting was done using only the paint knife.
I used Cobalt Blue of the sky and shadows.
The extra image shows the painting with just the background sky and trees.
ohh so cool, the palette knife texture gives it awesome abstract vibes. The light and shadow is beautiful.
Thank you both! <3
Beautiful work T!
Thank you Cronenberg. <3
Beautifully done, love the shadows and detail.
Fantastic! You can really feel the sunlight coming through the trees. I do like the few ochre colored leaves you added on the branches.
Thank you ForestVueGallery and flippergirlpaints. <3

This looks like a photo to me! Absolutely stunning’
Thank you Dave and Lc.
Yeah, it does look cold, doesn't it?
Perhaps I should put it up on the wall during a heat wave. Might cool the place down. LOL
This is one of your greatest masterpieces.
WOW!! This is great Titia! It looks like a real picture!
