"Pink Tree Forest"
February 23, 2025
Oil on canvas
70x50cm
So I decided to follow another Kevin Hill tutorial.
I like his style.
The background is made of yellowish greenish colours that are at some point dabbed with a shop towel to create all these random little details and to get rid of excess paint.
The light "sky holes" are painted in later on.
Details are mostly painted with small filbert brushes, but I've also used the fanbrush for the grassy parts longside the path.
Took me two afternoons to paint this one. It was a lot of fun and very educational.
A big thanks goes to Kevin Hill for making all those great tutorials. ❤️
Beautiful work Titia✌️
This is lovely! Great work!
Just wow! So many colours and details, love it!
Absolutely beautiful!
Lovely!😍
Beautiful painting!
Thank you everyone! 😍
@Txing:
It is one of the things I really like about Kevin's work.
He not only uses dark-light contrast very well, but he also uses warm-cool colours for depth and extra atmosphere.
So gorgeous!
Stunning and right on time for the hope of spring!
Thank you paintingblondie and KerriG. 😍
I started this on Friday and it sure felt like spring that day.
It had been freezing here, but that day it was like 14C over here.
Now it is colder again, but no more freezing. And the little spring bulbs have begun to flower as well! 😍
Wonderfully painted, a joy to look at. Thanks for including the very helpful progression photos!
Really lovely.
