This is 10 hours of work on 16 by 16 canvas. One broken brush. Three times erased bushes on the right side.
Can you dear viewers please think what is furthest mountain and what is closest?
If I to improve one thing what that would be?
Oh by the way, this is inspired by some famous artist Franz Bischoff (thanks Dracula!).
Dracula, thank you very much!
I would love to go to Utah for their national parks and to Alaska. I hope this disaster with the virus will be over soon and people will be back to normal everywhere.
WOW!
This is great stuff again Sunnylady, almost like it was done with water colors …. or is it? The furthest mountain is that tiny one on the ultimate left side. Distance of the mountains is superb because of the excellent use of light variations on them. You shadow work is VERY eye catching!
I would not change a thing personally, but if you were seeking for some more depth still, a small (dead) tree in the foreground could have its use.
Well done my friend!
Thank you Voy. It is oil painting. Lesson here was to learn air perspective and how colors disappear with distance. This is actually already fixed version, but i was wondering if I achieved the perspective. My plan was to have big mountain as major player in this painting so viewer would see how much space there and how big it is, i hoped that viewer would take a gasp how grand the view is (not sure if this is the right adjective though). Unfortunately after so much work i cannot start seeing it myself and see problematic spots rather than anything else. I think I need to try trick with the mirror.
Ten hours of work ,it must've been hard work.
And It is very good to learn air perspective.
Great work!
@Voy: Voy, I made the article with the photos to show what caught my attention. Please let me know when you read and I'll un-publish it.

This painting is wonderful! You have really captured the sense and spirit of the original "Pinnacle Rock, Zion Park" by Franz Bischoff. Zion National Park is in Utah. If you get the opportunity to go there, I really recommend it; it's quite breathtaking. I think doing these master studies is an excellent way to improve our skills!
