This is study work from the class. Reference says it is inspired by Scott Burdick.
Objective is to learn the behavior of objects when they submerged in the water and difference between dry and underwater colors and values.
This is continuing of learning behavior of Liquin. You can see how glossy the surface is and this is DRY painting. It even feels that I need matte varnish on top of it.
This is oil on canvas sheet, size A4.
Happy with bits of it, unhappy with bits of it. Overall is difficult to judge if I like it.
Thank you David- I am still trying to come to the point where I will not follow videos and do my own art which will project how I see the world around me. But also I want to make this process easier and I am still looking for my technique that makes me happy to share what I see in the world.
And I am still thinking what a high quality art is for me to be able to sell when I am ready.
I think I am still maturing as an artist.
whatever you want to do sunny lady .. just make sure you enjoy it .. thats my advice for life for what its worth.. happy painting to you
@Tom - thank you! At this stage of life and for another 10 years I plan to treat it as hobby. But when I get to approach to my retirement I want to get into selling my art.
I totally agree on abstract impacting the classical approaches, which is fine - there are many different tastes. However when I see people who are far from art they tend to be on more representational paintings mostly rather than abstract.
@Dave - thank you. You are totally right - enjoying is the most important for everything in the life. I wish Liquin did not drive me crazy though. 🤪
