Original Creation

Seascape, inspired by Nazare, Portugal

Sunnylady 10 Nov 2021

Canvas panel, 40x60cm.

I wanted to go and do seascape on my own without following any tutorial. I found a nice video about those waves and watched it few times. I will say - this view is before anything was built on top of mountain. It lost sense of grand view without reference to a building but formed still a bearable seascape.
I used cobalt purple as under painting, It does not read through the upper layers at this lighting, maybe it will at daylight when fully dry and varnished. It was a mistake to use that cobalt. Next time burnt umber only as I lost all darkness and had to go with glazing to enhance shadows.

PS Of course after I uploaded I found out I have issue with the horizon line. I fixed it and attached one additional photo. Now there is distance in the painting.
