My first dog portrait ever. It was a challenge. Even I had acrylic underpainting to block darkest areas when oil came in it got out of control.
I used 4 colors only to make my life easier. But it was not easy at all.
I wanted to have rather robust brushwork but my love to blend came to interfere with every second brush stroke. It was a fight and I got stuck at the end. Thus I call it done.
Beautiful. Reminds me of my first Labrador.
