Honey bliss-2

Sunnylady 13 Mar 2021

This is repeat of Honey Bliss. It is smaller in size but was two times more challenging.
Sky drove me crazy this time.
Blending was tough!
I fully repainted sky because of blending issues and water as there was no other way to fix it. It became darker and more purple.

Check the picture in the middle to see what I call an issue in blending. Other two are fixed version.

Oil on canvas. 45x60 cm.

u got a winner there sunny!love it..all of it!!

SunnyLady, you are SO good in painting water, the see ans ships. This is a great painting again.

SunnyLady, look on my profil, I posted a photograf fromthe smal tubes of paint that I use.

@Pietro, @Hado - thank you folks! I am still learning through fails and findings.

Absolutely stunning painting! šŸ˜Š

Wow. i must say that your boat/ocean paintings are just beautiful. I love the colours and reflections in this one. Very nice.
The middle/ blending problem image reminds me of sun refractions or sun halos.

The soft sun on the foreground separating the water is very well done

@Sunder, @midnite Painter - thank you very much guys!

@LJM - thank you! You are right they look like halos. I did not think about it at all. May be because ones I saw always were seen at very cold weather.

How true. That is a good point. Your painting has warm colours..it is a good thing that you repainted. Your finished piece (as always) is incredible.

It came out beautiful! The light hitting the water and sails makes me feel like Iā€™m there!

Thanks @Lzicchinella! I think too that water in this version is more wet! I think I got more sharpness here and feel of hot evening is gone. I have not been in the sea when it is in around 10C, but somehow I imagine it would look somewhat like this.

@ LJM - I am glad I repainted it too. It would be a low quality painting if I would leave it that way I think.

Oh my Sunnylady another glorious scene! The color and lighting is stunning and such great work on the sailboat.

This is absolutely beautiful! I would love to be on that boat right now...

@ForestVueGallery - thank you for your kind support!
@LiiquidClear - I am happy you like it!

Beautiful!! You are so very talented!! I can only hope that I can paint like you some day!!

Sharon, this is just 1.5 years of painting every weekend and couple of online classes. I also tried various you tube instructors and that helped me to grow.

@Sharon - if you have Russian speaking friend invite them over and paint together using Dmitry Roza YouTube channel, where the friend will be able to translate and you will have a lot of fun together. His style and explaining will give you such a big insight into another approach to oil painting.

As I said you have blossomed throughout your journey and created some absolutely beautiful art! I hope I can come close.... if you read my profile you will see why.... but all I can do is practice, practice, practice...lol... have a wonderful day!

Unfortunately I don't know any Russian translator but I'm sure there's an app that could do that for me I'll be sure to check it out ! Thank you I need all the advice I can get!!

Sharon, the painting you shared recently is fantastic and I would never think you had any problems. This is how good you are already!
Practice is a hard work for every one and you certainly do great! Dmitry Roza uses 1 synthetic brush, one 2 inch brush and one script liner. The key to his technique is through using quite liquid paint with Tee as a medium and application of paint is way easier than in Bob Ross technique.

Awesome and thank you so much for the compliments! I'll definitely check him out!!
