Reference photo posted below. I took the picture with my phone after a pretty challenging hike in June of 2021. This view was our reward. Always wanted to try to paint this but I didn't think I could pull it off. I decided to give a go and am pretty happy with the results. First time painting from a photo. Painted on 18"x24" fine tooth canvas.
This is a very strong painting with lots to look at and keep the observer engaged. The mountain is fearsome and the reflection is beautiful. I agree that the submerged rocks are excellent.
