After doing Wooded Stream Oval on a tiny canvas, I really wanted to do a similar scene but with an added fantasy element. Did the small stone circle, then I was picturing the forest spirits from Princess Mononoke.
Your foliage looks fantastic. The reflection of the spirit on the water is a very nice touch.
