Hello, fellow happy painters.. so recently I had painted this and tried to get it to where I was happy with it.. and a mutual friend of ours- the one and only Paul Ranson had a tutorial for answering the mystery of “ugh what does this need?!” for me. I was fortunate to have his invitation to send a painting of mine for his review and tips he may have. It was missing the focal point. So now, I had to post my last (I promise!) version and I like it, and it’s done. Perfect? No but that’s never our goal, is it?
All of your revisions were worth the effort! Very nice final version. Great job with the sun and the rays.
Beautiful
Ahhh,love that snowy hill Steph!
Thank you all! To get beams- let the painting dry overnight. Then I used a touch of liquid white and a teeny dot of Indian yellow mixed in. Gently swirl a mist around. Then take a clean dry brush and brush it straight through the mist in one direction. You’ll have instant beams. Bob Ross and Paul Ranson have videos on how to make beams. Check out their videos on YouTube
Lil tree on the right is perfect :)
