I been pondering about grabbing a bass guitar V..I have been playing six string since I was young..On n off..Lately not playing at all.All my time seems to go to art these days as I have been out of work since c 19.Can you recommend a good inexpensive bass>either p or j,I looked at some ESP's..they look pretty cool.Ibanez..Fenders are a bit pricey. Here is a shot of my prized Merle Haggard Tough doggy..Cheers,P
Well Pietro, I had four bass guitars, of wich two budget ones (used for practice only) and two medium pro guitars where I went live on stage with. One was a Gibson and by far the worst guitar I ever had! The other was a Fernandes, middle class priced, and the best I ever played with. That had all to do with its size which looked like it was moulded for my hands.
I can thus recommend Fernandes yet, apart from the more expensive Fender and Rickenbacher, also Ibanez would be a good choice.
Like many things in life, also a guitar has to find its rightful master.
Good luck with that!!
Thanks V.. Agree..i have had similar experiences w/the 6 strings.cheers,P

Haha, yes, the legend and a bass!
It took me quite some years till I found a match with a bass guitar, almost moulded for my hands. The brand was 'Fernandez', Japanese and shamelessly copying Fender and Ibanez. But it was the best guitar (my third one at the time) I ever had, played hundreds of tiles of the roofs and was my companion for 32 years, until I retired as a bass player and sold it to my (musical) neighbour boy.
Those were the days my friend, we thought they'd never end .... 💖
