I had to slip back to the 16th century to find my inspiration for this. Here in Caravaggio style of dark against light is the Madonna.Impression, beauty, spirit are present. The artist although a master of his craft, left much to be desired.Fled to different countries to escape capture...His genious is my pursuit.
grazie!
Had to look up the style first to be certain exactly what it was. Clair-obscure , indeed a beloved technique for Baroque painters.
The creation is a true beauty and you mastered the figure as well as the lightplay. Only point of critic that I should mention, with all respect, is that I thought it was a male first, when only looking at the head.
I probably mistook the shadow on her upper lip for a moustache! Silly me!
Hey V..I agree w/your critic..I wanted to re do the face a bit to create mor feminine lines ,but I'm afraid to lose the original look

Well Pietro1963 - you are definitely well on the way. The picture is certainly an Old Master in style. Excellent.
